as someone who’s been here since 2020 and has read thousands of works, i now only read manga/hwas that is rated 9,2 or more, because it feels like such a waste of time when i read something thats just.. not breathtakingly amazing and just mid.. yknow.. anyone the same? T^^^T
been here for a while too but i just read anything that has a nice cover although i do get like 20 updates i only end up reading 1-2 of them since many stories are only interesting first read and not worth going back to lol
I'm usually on mrm, but I got tired of their lack of means to categorise things you've read, want to read or are currently reading. As well as tags or lists.
What I like about mrm is that there's no rating, so I can read my trash in peace without feeling like I'm reading trash. I like garbage, but if I see a low rating here then in the back of my mind it's like "nobody else is enjoying this garbage, you should hate it too" but I don't wanna be like that. I just wanna read toxic stuff and mind my own business sometimes
Most of the time I also do that but sometimes there’s a hidden gem under 9.0 . The rating might not be accurate sometimes it really depends on how many people actually rate it and a bunch of time full color with decent art manhwa tend to get higher rating even if the story is pretty mid while people may go a little harsher with manga (b&w) but this is just my observation .

So just something I wanna point out, when she says stuff that reminds the king of his wife, why does it feel like the author is trying to make the king favor her by just being similar in personality to his wife?

And the king and brother, just prefer her to the red head just by their behavior because we the audience know that mc is the real daughter but it feels strange with the treatment
Because from their perspective they just know that their daughter is a reincarnator and now another chick is also a reincarnator. From the king's perspective, the mc is similar to his wife and doesn't bring up the LITERAL PINK TIPS, but has a preference to her and treats her like his actual daughter

It deals with more mature topics than most series that are just centered around high schoolers struggling to say "daisuki" and it wasn't afraid to add a lil taboo spice into the mix. When it was first being serialized in jp everyone loved it 'cause of how serious the subject matters were. It was made for a more mature audience that could understand that this was a fictional setting and thus could actually enjoy it from beginning to end.
Now everyone likes to circle jerk over how "morally just" they are for consuming "safe horny" shit and suck the fun and enjoyment out of anyone who thinks differently. You've got people who spend way too much time making claims of being "fetishized" when they are literally a nobody, and others who demand fictional characters write apology letters for doing something bad lol then you've got the ones who harass mangaka or their managers and fans for writing "illegal" stuff or just something they don't like in general.
This is definitely the weakest and most pathetic generation of readers I have seen in all my 20 years of reading bl/yaoi. This genre becoming mainstream was a fucking mistake lol
