From haesol's pov it's normal to be wary of yeonwoo's bestfriend because they did have a very odd relationship of mutual dependance. She's concerned and jealous on one hand and on the other hand she's not ready to open up about her trauma either. This is a tough combination to work with

Yeonwoo on the other hand is concerned about haesol but he too isn't in the mindset to be able to share his trauma as well. However he too wants to know herself

They're both curious but aren't comfortable yet to reveal the cards in their hands, which is leading to the friction in the relationship.

At least they are talking it out and having a confrontation over it, which is far better than avoiding the topic forever and bottling all the feelings
