I think the story ends with the soul of the red dragon, Yona, sending all of the dragons back to the heavens, ushering in a “new dawn”. As Soowon said, Kouka no longer needs the dragons, and dragons aren’t meant to be bound like this. Humans cannot contain the sheer power of the dragons for long. Zeno’s particular power affects his constitution, meaning his body can withstand living with the soul of a dragon, but he’s cursed with the eternal life of a dragon because of it. Also, King Hiryuu’s human body could not handle the powers of a dragon, meaning he was fated to die young, like the others. Yona doesn’t share this blood, she houses his soul. Soowon, however, does possess the blood of the red dragon and likewise has the power of exceptional leadership skills (like Yona). But, because of that blood, he too is fated to die young—it’s the power of the dragon passed on by blood, not migration between vessels after death. This is just my theory but it would explain why Yona and Soowon are pitted together as opposing forces that are also similar. It may also explain their relationship as two parts of a whole. This ending is also something that can happen reasonably soon because none of this is truly new info and they’re all headed to the same place. I’ve been reading this since ch 1 came out and I’d be satisfied. Anyway, I really hope this ends with everyone safe!
